Low Cholesterol Dieting

Low Cholesterol Dieting

A good way to lower cholesterol levels is to combine exercise with low cholesterol dieting. A low cholesterol diet may include high fiber and vitamin content but must be lower in fats.

A healthy lifestyle creates a better quality of life. Cholesterol can be dangerous and lead to disease and heart attack.

Another effective way to reduce cholesterol is through medications. Make sure to discuss any dieting plans with your doctor. You should not eliminate fats completely from your diet because your body needs fat in order to function properly.

Exercise is a vital part of lowering cholesterol. You don't need to overdo or go to the gym every day. Even walking every morning for 30 minutes will help. Mornings are recommended as the best time to exercise, but if you do better after work or in the evenings that is fine too.

If you have a family history of heart disease and high cholesterol, it is important to be cautious. Talk to your doctor and get some tests taken early. If your cholesterol is too high, it's best to start a low cholesterol dieting program and/or start on medications.
