Body Wraps

Body Wraps

Body wraps can help tone and tighten the skin, improve blood circulation, detoxify the body and help naturally eliminate fat. The only equipment you will need is a mixing bowl, heating pot and wrapping sheets similar to thin towels.

Body wraps consist of two stages: absorption and compaction. In the absorption stage you wrap your body with a body wrap substance. This will open the pores and fluids are extracted from the body naturally.

You may use various substances for absorption, including: sea clay, seaweed, herbal, mineral and aloe vera. Different wraps will have different effects on the body.

Once the fluid has been extracted, you squeeze or compact the tissues together. Without the excess fluids in your cells you can create a thinner and leaner looking body -- at least temporarily until the fluids are replaced.

A easy wrap can simply clay mixed with salt. The more complex body wraps also contain herbs, necessary oils and some nutritional ingredients. If you have dry skin, you may add some nutritive oil into your body wrap mixture. Exact amounts are not extremely important.
